Indianapolis Airport Tunnel

There are times it pays to always have your camera with you ready to shoot. Often I've found that carrying the professional gear isn't always ideal and recently purchased a compact Canon PowerShot SX110 IS in a pouch on my belt for occasions where I'm not necessarily on assignment, but when I come across an opportunity as you see above. I was consulting in Indianapolis mid-December and had landed at the new Indianapolis Airport. This is the tunnel connecting the main terminal to the concourse and it's filled with flashing red and blue lights - similar to the tunnel at the Chicago Airport. I noticed the reflections of the lights in the brushed steel of the motorized walkway and setting the camera down, I let it auto-expose with this powerful result!

  1. Ken, I love the colors you captured in this photo. I agree that you must always carry a camera if you want to get the best and most unusual photos. I hope you have a happy and safe holiday season.
